Cup-Installation Drawings
Students are asked to paint a section of the cup installation with only five values. By limiting the task this way, students are required to deconstruct the installation by simplifying the values in specific shapes with the goal of describing the observed installation and creating a strong composition based on illusionistic light, contrast and geometric structures. For this assignment, students need to negotiate both their observational skills and creative autonomy.
