I used a cotton rag sheet and draped it into folds, letting it dry in a coat of methyl cellulose. This demonstrates the weight each wave or fold has and how the layer over each other. I’ll often use this technique to make thicker and larger sheets and to give the sheet different densities throughout the piece. (Student written section of the assignment)
